James “Bucky” Brown is a lifelong resident of the Binger–Cogar–Eakly area with deep roots in Caddo County. A 1992 graduate of Binger High School and a longtime member of Binger Baptist Church, Bucky understands the values, work ethic, and needs of District 1 families.

A U.S. Marine Corps and U.S. Army veteran, Bucky served more than 20 years in the military, retiring in 2013 as a Recruiting Station Commander. After returning home, he joined Caddo County District 1 in 2016, where he worked maintaining county roads and infrastructure.

Bucky has devoted his life to public and community service, from serving his country to serving his county. He would be honored to continue that service as your District 1 Commissioner, focusing on responsible use of county resources and fixing roads the right way—projects done correctly, built to last, and safer for everyone.
